BIOGRAPHY

Zbigniew Sikora was born in Warsaw in 1985. He completed his studies at the Painting Faculty of Warsaw’s Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 under Professor Jarosław Modzelewski. He also attended the Alternative Depiction Studio of Professor Włodzimierz Szymański at the Media and Set Design Faculty and specialised in the Art of Public Space under Professor Mirosław Duchowski.
In 2008, his project to develop Warsaw’s Parade Square received an honourable mention from the Art in Public Space Studio. In 2009 he won the fifth edition of a competition organised by Gallery A 19 for his Metro Museum mural at one of Warsaw’s underground stations. In 2011 he was awarded a scholarship by Warsaw’s Municipal Culture Bureau to create a mural promoting Poland’s capital. He completed post-graduate studies in Computer and Multi-Media Graphics at Warsaw’s Academy of Special Education, and from 2009 has been a member of the Front Sztuki (Art Front) Artistic Association.
Currently Mr Sikora serves as an assistant to Professor Mirosław Duchowski at the Art in Public Space Studio of Warsaw’s Academy of Fine arts as well as to Professor Ewa Latkowska-Żychska in her composition studio with a Graphic Art speciality at Warsaw’s Social Academy of Learning.
